Pink the Paperback Arrives in England!

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Pink the Paperback officially makes its British debut today!

Look for it at Waterstone’s and WH Smith. My spies across the Pond inform me that it’s part of their summer sales.

More Fun With Covers

Monday, March 30th, 2009

What would I do without foreign editions to keep me entertained? The paperback version of the UK edition of The Secret History of the Pink Carnation comes out this July. My fabulous British publisher just sent me an early version of the cover picture.

Pretty, no? I can’t wait to see [...]

Pink I in Hardcover

Friday, March 13th, 2009

For those who were trying to track down The Secret History of the Pink Carnation in the original hardcover, it looks like fresh copies are currently available through Barnes & Noble. Get ‘em while they last!

p.s. congrats to Rebecca W and Jillian B for winning the book give-away on All About Romance!

Pink across the Pond

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

The UK version of The Secret History of the Pink Carnation is now officially out on shelves across the Pond. Unlike some of the foreign editions, which stick pretty closely to the American cover, Pink Britain chose to go with a totally different look. Which do you like better?

Crimson Rose Book Club: Favorite Scene

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

In each of my books, there is always one scene or passage that pops out for me, that makes me feel good about my writing and the book I’m in the process of producing. For The Secret History of the Pink Carnation, it was the mad mob scene in Richard’s Paris drawing room [...]

Purple Gentian at Large!

Sunday, January 11th, 2009

Just when you thought it was safe to open the covers of another book…. Lord Richard Selwick, aka the Purple Gentian, may be feeling a bit espionage-challenged these days (otherly agented? my PC speak is rusty), but there is no denying that he gets around. The Purple Gentian has escaped [...]

‘Tis the Season…

Friday, December 5th, 2008

… for more contests. In addition to our regularly scheduled Tuesday trivia quiz, Access Romance is having a daily contest of its own, with a different author giving away goodies every day for the entire month of December.
Pop over to Access Romance tomorrow (well, today already in some time zones) for a [...]

They Seek Him Here, They Knit Him There….

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Little did Lord Richard Selwick realize when he set out to attain fame and glory that, one day, he would become… yarn.
A friend of mine just passed on this link from Etsy. It was too, too cool not to share. The Purple Gentian now has his very own shade of merino wool. [...]

Pink Carnation in England!

Wednesday, October 8th, 2008

I know, I know, that makes a very bizarre headline, since the Pink Carnation is technically already in England– when she’s not in France, that is, or Ireland or Portugal, wreaking havoc on Napoleon as only she knows how.
However, while the Pink Carnation may have been resident in London, her chronicles were not. [...]

While I’m having fun with covers…

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

… here’s a real Pink Carnation artifact: the Lost Cover of Pink I.
Doesn’t that have a nice ring to it? Having a lost anything imparts such a lovely air of antiquity and myth-making, like the lost city of Atlantis or the lost subway stations hidden among the tunnels beneath the city of [...]
