Monday Give Away

I have found more books.

I know. It’s insane, isn’t it? Just when I think I’ve reached the bottom of the stock of author copies, another box turns up. This time? UK editions.

I’ve resigned myself to the fact that we’re just going to have to keep doing give aways. How long these will go on, I can’t say. Possibly until the elves who are replenishing that stack of boxes get bored or go back to their assigned shoemaker or whatever it is closet elves are actually supposed to be doing.

Where was I before I got distracted by elves? Oh, right. UK editions.

In a tape-wrapped box in the back of the closet, I discovered the UK editions of Pink Carnation, Black Tulip, Emerald Ring, Crimson Rose, Night Jasmine, and Mistletoe:

Pink England blacktulipengland Emeraldringengland Crimson UK Night Jasmine UK Mistletoe UK

I have two stacks of UK editions to give away. (One with Mistletoe, one sans Mistletoe, since Turnip appears to have wandered off somewhere, possibly into another, as yet undiscovered, box.)

For a stack of UK Pink books, here’s your question:

— Which cover do you like best?

I’ll choose two winners by random number generator and announce the results here on Thursday.

As Colin would say, “Cheers!”

Wow I love those covers! What did the UK do to get such striking images? I am having trouble deciding which I like best — I think Temptation of the Night Jasmine, especially compared to the US cover. The US cover is all browns and yellows, and I like the way the purplish-blue and black interact.

  2. Lauren Ashley on September 21, 2015 at 8:40 am

I love all the UK covers! If I had to pick a favorite I would have to say the cover for The Seduction of the Crimson Rose.

  3. Georgie Wickham on September 21, 2015 at 9:42 am

Oh, The Temptation of the Night Jasmine. The colours are well-balanced, and the image perfectly conveys the elegance and mystery of the plot. BUT I wanted to like The Crimson Rose, because Mary & Vaughn are simply the coolest couple you have ever created. There MUST be a novella about their wedding (with Mary condescending to her sister right, left and centre) and possibly their wedding night too? Please.

  4. Jessica S. on September 21, 2015 at 9:48 am

Emerald Ring. I adore the green gown. I always have.

  5. Colleen Eaton on September 21, 2015 at 10:04 am

They are all gorgeous – very different than the US covers – but my favorite is still the pink carnation cover. Just lovely and fits the story so well.

  6. Meredith A on September 21, 2015 at 10:10 am

They are all gorgeous covers! I am particularly drawn to the Crimson Rose cover, but only by a very slight margin.

  7. Clara Bauer on September 21, 2015 at 11:02 am

I love the Crimson Rose and the Night Jasmine. They both give me a sense of intrigue and I love the antique look of “Rose” and the dark coloring of “Jasmine”.

  8. Mary D. on September 21, 2015 at 11:05 am

I like The Seduction of the Crimson Rose best, but they are all fabulous covers.

Thanks for the chance to win. I say we just leave those elves alone!

  9. Julie Bausch on September 21, 2015 at 11:06 am

I love them all, the artwork is beautiful. But I think my favorite is The Masque of the Black Tulip. I love the thin veil across her face. I do Bellydance semi professionally and we use veils sometimes and that kind of what it makes me think of. It gives that sexy, mysterious vibe. 🙂

  10. Christine Gorsek on September 21, 2015 at 11:09 am

    Deception of the emerald ring!

  11. Shannon on September 21, 2015 at 11:18 am

    I love the tulip cover!

  12. Marianne on September 21, 2015 at 11:24 am

EMERALD! I love the color of that dress. And I have all your books on audio and I’d love to win the physical books. Thanks for the opportunity.

  13. Karen on September 21, 2015 at 11:34 am

    Night Jasmine for me!

  14. Christine on September 21, 2015 at 11:35 am

    I’ve always loved Emerald Ring.

Does Pink Carnation remind anyone else of Reese Witherspoon in Vanity Fair?

  15. Diane stiles on September 21, 2015 at 11:41 am

The Black Tulip is so elegant! Love them all but that’s my fave. Thanks for the giveaways!

  16. Valerie on September 21, 2015 at 11:43 am

The Emerald Ring jumps out at me the most, though I do like the U.S. Covers a *tiny* bit better overall. It’s really fun to see the different styles in other countries!

  17. LoraLynn on September 21, 2015 at 11:44 am

I like the Black Tulip. It’s got an edge of dark mystery about it.

  18. Christi Koenig on September 21, 2015 at 11:47 am

The Masque of the Black Tulip…it’s stunning and just so elegant. Reminds me a wee bit of Penny Dreadful, which makes it that much better!

  19. Claire on September 21, 2015 at 11:54 am

I love the Black Tulip cover! Nice gothic tinge.

  20. Ashley Peter on September 21, 2015 at 11:57 am

I love, love, love the Pink Carnation cover!

  21. Dee on September 21, 2015 at 11:59 am

The Crimson Rose cover looks so elegant!

  22. Dana on September 21, 2015 at 12:00 pm

I love The Masque of the Black Tulip. Love the colors, drama, and mystery of her look.

  23. Sarah on September 21, 2015 at 12:05 pm

I love the different tone in all of these from the US covers. gotta say Black Tulip is my fave–that veil!

  24. KimberlyB on September 21, 2015 at 12:08 pm

I also like the U.S. covers slightly better. But I had a hard time choosing between the Black Tulip and Emerald Ring. I’ll say Emerald Ring because I like the stairs in the background in addition to the green dress. lol

  25. Nikki B on September 21, 2015 at 12:20 pm

I love the Masque of the Black Tulip. There is something so mysterious and beautiful about black lace.

  26. Krystal on September 21, 2015 at 12:25 pm

Wow – why does the UK always get prettier covers?! I think of these, my favorite is the Masque of the Black Tulip – love the air of mystery that cover has!

  27. Christina Westphal on September 21, 2015 at 12:31 pm

    Love them all

  28. Ammy Belle on September 21, 2015 at 12:42 pm

The UK covers are gorgeous! I love the Black Tulip one! Just the way she’s turned to the side, as if sniffing out a mystery … thanks!

  29. Pat D on September 21, 2015 at 12:58 pm

I think I like the Crimson Rose best. She is standing there, leaning a bit, as though waiting for someone to arrive to do her bidding.

  30. Daphne Blackwell on September 21, 2015 at 1:05 pm

I like the Night Jasmine and the Black Tulip.

  31. Rebecca on September 21, 2015 at 1:08 pm

The Masque of the Black Tulip for sure. It looks sort of sinister and mysterious. Very cool!

  32. LynnS on September 21, 2015 at 1:25 pm

Those are beautiful covers! The Black Tulip is my favorite. That profile picture is very striking.

  33. Erin G on September 21, 2015 at 1:52 pm

I am partial to the black masque. But the night jasmine is a close second.

  34. Samantha on September 21, 2015 at 2:10 pm

The Masque of the Black Tulip is my favorite book, so it has to be my favorite cover 🙂

  35. Betty S. on September 21, 2015 at 2:21 pm

They’re all wonderful, but I like Black Tulip and Emerald Ring the best. I have all of your books and would love to add the UK books to my collection.

  36. Eleonora on September 21, 2015 at 2:50 pm

I like the cover of the black tulip. She looks really as curious as a spy is supposed to be.

  37. Emily on September 21, 2015 at 3:03 pm

I like the Black Tulip and the Emerald Ring!

  38. Amanda B on September 21, 2015 at 3:08 pm

My favorites are the covers for the Black Tulip and Crimson Rose!! I leant a friend my copy of Pink I, and I can’t seem to get it back. I want to re-read the entire series from the beginning this winter. This will help the process!!! Thanks!!!

  39. Amanda V on September 21, 2015 at 3:20 pm

I love the masque of the black tulip cover. I think the blue background and black dress draw me in.

  40. Jane Bigelow on September 21, 2015 at 3:59 pm

The Seduction of the Crimson Rose is my favorite, though the Black Tulip is also lovely. The clothing’s even close to right for the period, though Seduction’s style is a bit early. (Personal grumble: why are the clothes on the covers of historical novels so often flat-out wrong?)

  41. Michelle Springer on September 21, 2015 at 4:11 pm

I love them all, but particularly love The Deception of the Emerald Ring. 🙂

  42. Beth on September 21, 2015 at 4:12 pm

I like the Seduction of the Crimson Rose the best! Thanks for giving another opportunity to win a book.

  43. Shenandoah Strojek on September 21, 2015 at 4:41 pm

I would love to add those to my collection! I love the cover art on all your books. So your elves can send those my way!

  44. Shenandoah Strojek on September 21, 2015 at 4:43 pm

I forgot to pick my favorite! I like the Night Jasmine best. She looks mysterious and like she is about to run off and do something dangerous!

  45. Dasha on September 21, 2015 at 4:45 pm

I feel like the cover of ‘Decption’ totally nails the mood of the book, ergo my favourite!

  46. Miss Eliza on September 21, 2015 at 5:37 pm

Crimson Rose… though not “historically” accurate, it’s so damn elegant!

  47. Jessica A. on September 21, 2015 at 5:58 pm

I love the Black Tulip cover! (It may be because that is my favorite book in general!)

  48. Kiley Murphy on September 21, 2015 at 5:59 pm

Such a tough decision to make after a full school day. I am going to have to say Night Jasmine. I love the fan.

  49. bn100 on September 21, 2015 at 6:12 pm

the Deception of the Emerald Ring

  50. Lois M. on September 21, 2015 at 6:26 pm

I’m too used to the US versions, so out of those editions, definitely the US, but the cover out of this grouping, Emerald Ring.

    Lois

  51. Shannon on September 21, 2015 at 6:37 pm

The Black Tulip cover is my fave! So dramatic!

  52. Alexa on September 21, 2015 at 6:55 pm

So striking. I like the Black Tulip best.

  53. Ashlie on September 21, 2015 at 6:59 pm

    Emerald Ring! Love the green!

  54. Lauren H. on September 21, 2015 at 7:27 pm

They’re all so pretty. But the Black Tulip cover is absolutely stunning!

  55. Tracy Lee on September 21, 2015 at 7:44 pm

Oooooh…torture to choose. Rose, ring and Jasmine draw me the most!

  56. Khadija Shabbir on September 21, 2015 at 8:01 pm

The deception of the emerald ring is wonderfully done!

  57. Courtney on September 21, 2015 at 8:04 pm

Oh my gosh, those are gorgeous! I really need a new copy of Pink I…it’s been read to death…and of course I need a copy of Mistletoe…but oh my gosh UK editions! The book collector in me is crying with joy!

  58. Denise on September 21, 2015 at 8:31 pm

Always like it when the FULL picture of a woman is on the cover, not just the body. Therefore, like The Black Tulip or The Crimson Rose even qualifies. Would read them even with a not so pretty cover, too, though! 😉

  59. Paige B. on September 21, 2015 at 9:46 pm

The Deception of the Emerald Ring, with The Temptation of the Night Jasmine coming in second.
🙂 I really enjoy seeing all of the different covers.

  60. Maria on September 21, 2015 at 10:05 pm

I like the Night Jasmine cover best. The colors on that one are very striking.

  61. Liz D. on September 21, 2015 at 10:22 pm

Ooh lovely! Hard to pick just one, but my favorite is The Mischief of the Mistletoe -such a vibrant red color!

  62. Alice Herrera on September 22, 2015 at 1:25 am

The Black Tulip. LOVE the veil over her eyes!

  63. Suzanne VanderWiel on September 22, 2015 at 2:32 am

They are all beautiful, but I love the Black Tulip one the best.

  64. Allyssa on September 22, 2015 at 2:33 am

I have to say, the UK covers are gorgeous. I can’t decide on just one favorite, but I find myself staring at the Black Tulip and Night Jasmine covers the most. There’s something eye catching about them.

  65. Kristi Burch on September 22, 2015 at 7:27 am

    The Crimson Rose
I adore all of then with historical art.

  66. Marissa on September 22, 2015 at 8:13 am

Mistletoe! And it’s also one of my favorite books as well!

    🙂

  67. Miriam Kahn on September 22, 2015 at 8:27 am

I love all the covers, but Black Tulip is intriguing.

  68. Beth F on September 22, 2015 at 8:29 am

My favorites are The Pink Carnation and The Crimson Rose!

  69. Susan Gorman on September 22, 2015 at 8:29 am

The Deception of the Emerald Ring!

  70. Lauren D. on September 22, 2015 at 9:18 am

I absolutely love the Black Tulip cover!

  71. Abby on September 22, 2015 at 9:19 am

The Masque of the Black Tulip is gorgeous! It doesn’t look a bit like Henrietta, but perhaps it’s her nemesis?

  72. Amy on September 22, 2015 at 9:30 am

The UK covers are so beautiful! It is hard to choose just one. I think the Black Tulip would have to be the winner. It is so simple but captures how I envisioned the Marquise de Montval would have looked. Second runner up would be Emerald Ring because that dress is just gorgeous!

  73. Emma on September 22, 2015 at 10:02 am

I love the Night Jasmine cover! So lovely. But they’re ALL lovely!

  74. Ana F. on September 22, 2015 at 11:04 am

It’s a tie between the emerald ring and black tulip. They’re all beautiful though.

  75. Kristy Motz on September 22, 2015 at 11:05 am

These are all gorgeous, but I love the striking black and white contrasts of Black Tulip and am quite partial to the brilliant red for Christmas on Mistletoe.

  76. Chelsea Frandsen on September 22, 2015 at 11:16 am

Toss up between “Black Tulip” and “Emerald Ring”. I’m in love with the lacy mask in “Black Tulip” and the dress on “Emerald Ring”!!!!

  77. Debra Callaway on September 22, 2015 at 11:27 am

I like all of these covers but like the Black Tulip best, simply because she hasn’t lost her head. I don’t really care for the style of cover where the picture crops off the top of the head. The Black Tulip cover also seems to me more of a composition, she looks like she is leaning over to say something, share a confidence. The others to me are static.

  78. Donna Runkle on September 22, 2015 at 12:12 pm

Love the UK covers! My favorite one is the black tulip, which is also my favorite book!!

  79. Jenn on September 22, 2015 at 3:21 pm

I love the Black Tulip one! It always funny how they use different covers depending on the country it’s being released in.

  80. Lynne Hastings on September 22, 2015 at 4:15 pm

The Black Tulip cover is gorgeous AND unusual. It would have had me grabbing a second copy of one of my favorites!

  81. Jan Siler on September 22, 2015 at 8:47 pm

I love the Black Tulip cover the best, with Mistletoe a close second. The black lace on Tulip really captures the mystery!

  82. Nikki on September 22, 2015 at 10:43 pm

What a wonderful giveaway, and how cool about having multiple covers. Each is beautiful in a different way but I love the Pink Carnation cover. Cheers!

  83. Joan and Dana-Jean on September 23, 2015 at 5:56 am

I prefer Crimson Rose and my daughter prefers Mistletoe! They are really all lovely.

  84. Karen H on September 23, 2015 at 6:16 am

I think Black Tulip or Crimson Rose best match their heroine!

  85. Bev on September 23, 2015 at 9:05 am

These covers are gorgeous! I love them all, but if I had to choose, it would be Emerald Ring–love that green dress! You are incredibly generous!

  86. Alessandra on September 23, 2015 at 12:40 pm

I think they are all beautiful, but my favorite is the Black Tulip! If I am chosen to win a book, I would love to get the Deception of the Emerald Ring, its the only one missing in my Pink collection!
Yesterday I finish reading The Lure of the Moonflower and I loved it. Perfect ending! But I am missing the Pink Books already.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful books you wrote!

  87. Alexandra on September 23, 2015 at 5:12 pm

They’re all so pretty! But since Black Tulip is my favorite in the series, I’m going to say that cover is my favorite.

  88. Michelle on September 23, 2015 at 6:27 pm

i love them all! My favorite book though is Emerald Ring, so I have to vote for that one!

  89. Fiona on September 24, 2015 at 6:39 pm

tough call. The colors are so strong and unified along with the scrolled borders. Emerald Ring by a backwards glancing head over Night Jasmine for the evocativeness of the fan.

  90. Elizabeth MacBride on September 26, 2015 at 4:44 pm

My favorite is the mischief of the mistletoe. I love how the red pops out from the cover, and I think it might be my favorite book. (It’s not a favorite by much though because I love them all.
