Pink on NPR!
So many thanks to the folks at NPR (but especially reviewer extraordinaire, Bobbi Dumas) for this lovely farewell to the Pink Carnation series.
If you had told me, ten years ago, that the Pink books would be getting this kind of send-off on National Public Radio, I would have snorted coffee up my nose. Of course, if you’d told me then that there would be twelve Pink books, I would have snorted coffee, so, there you go….
Thank you!!
Congratulations, Lauren!
No, Lauren – thank you! I think I speak for all of your fans in saying that you gave us hours and pages of enjoyment with the Pink series! That wonderful NPR send-off says it all! And I’m just finishing The Moonflower and only wish for a few more books. Terrific series and well done!
What Lynne said.
I am anxious to read Moonflower, but not at all ready for it to show up at the library for me.
I just finished The Other Daughter and I loved it. It was a case of the jacket copy being the literal truth, but not the whole story. As much as I love the dual POV/dual time periods of your other work, doing that would have ruined something in this story. I was so glad I got to learn the truth as Rachel did. Somehow, it made everything better to not have the earlier time period spoilers.
Does anyone else out there think the Pink Carnation series would make a fantastic serial on the BBC’s Masterpiece Theater? One can always hope.
What a great idea. Jeffrey! I’d second it in a heartbeat.
Me too!!
