Secret Project Unveiled!

I am so thrilled finally to be able to share a top secret project that’s been in the works behind the scenes for a while now.

Karen White, Beatriz Williams and I are writing a novel together!

It’s called The Forgotten Room and it traces the lives of three women and the Gilded Age mansion to which they’re all linked. Like my– and Beatriz’s and Karen’s– other books, this one moves back and forth between multiple timelines: the 1890s, 1920, and 1944, as the 1944 heroine peels back the layers of a family secret that goes back three generations.

We’re all ridiculously excited about this story. The Forgotten Room will appear in stores in January of 2016.

In the meantime, Karen and Beatriz and I are celebrating by giving away a beach bag full of goodies– including our latest books– on our brand new joint Facebook page! For a chance to win, just like the new page… and join us on our journey into The Forgotten Room!

P.S. I’m waving at you from the hotel in Times Square. I’m in town with my daughter and some friends for some musicals and the Tony’s on Sunday!

How is it that I can’t shake that smile off my face? It’s been there since I learned about that secret project yesterday! Like Joanne, I am ridiculously happy to have you co-write a book with Beatriz Williams!! And this gives me the perfect excuse to discover Karen White!
Which book would you recommend I read first?

Celine – I loved Karen White’s book, Sea Change, which is a stand alone. And her Tradd Street books are fun with a touch of the supernatural set in one of my favorite places, Charleston. You’ll enjoy her books, I promise!

        Thanks Joanne!!!
I’ll check with the library to see if they have Sea Change! I know for a fact that they have a few Tradd Street books, so I’ll try them too!

Are you going to write the 1920’s piece of the book?

That’s so cool! You’ll have to give us inside information on what the writing process is like. It sounds very fun.
