I had the chance to read an advance copy of this back in the spring, and it has all of the espionage, drama and historical detail one has come to expect from a Tracy Grant novel– whether the hero and heroine are named Malcolm and Suzanne or Charles and Melanie. Although this is part of an ongoing series (don’t miss the earlier books!), it works quite well as a stand alone, too.

Either Lady Emily and Colin from Tasha Alexander’s book or Brisbane and Lady Julia from Deanna Raybourn’s books. I can’t decide!
Percy Blakeney and Marguerite! And all of the Pink Carnation couples (I am not able to choose a favourite! I love them all!), even though they aren’t married until after spying has commenced.
I’m going to go way off the reservation and say Elizabeth and Phillip from The Americans. They’re definitely intriguing and I want to know what happens to them.
I have to say Elizabeth and Phillip from “The Americans” have caught my attention too, even though they are spying for the wrong side! Maybe that’s what makes them interesting!
I assume we’re not allowed to say Charles and Melanie?? And Lord Peter and Harriet aren’t really spies (and neither are my other favourites Lady Emily and Colin Hargreaves)… So it will have to be between the various Pink Carnation couples, and I can’t choose.
I am making an autocratic, executive decision: mystery-solving couples count, too.

I would have to say Lady Emily and Colin Hargreaves as well. Mostly because picking a Pink Carnation couple is just too difficult.
Another vote for Julia and Brisbane 🙂 My favorite is “Silent in the Sanctuary,” even though they aren’t married yet in that one.

(but I know one thing for sure: I’m gonna read the Paris Affair the very day of its release!)
I love all the Pink carnation couple spies but the couple I adore above all others would have to be Henrietta and Miles!

There are some good ones to choose from, but I think I would go with Charles & Melane, or Malcolm and Suzanne as they are now know.

I really love Kate Noble’s The Blue Raven series! Particularly Byrne and Lady Jane Cummings from “The Summer of You.”
The various Pinks, for sure! Otherwise, spying – Richard and Frances Myles in Helen Macinnes’s Above Suspicion. Detectives – Nick and Nora Charles tied with Pam and Gerry North. I’m an old fashioned girl!
For me, it is a real toss up between Malcolm and Suzanne Rannoch, Henrietta and Miles, and, since mystery-solving couples are included, Amelia and Emerson Peabody. Love them all and I can’t choose!

After the pink options, (of course!) Lady Georgie and Darcy O’Mara, from the Her Royal Spyness series. They crack me up!
This is hard and in no special order, all of the Pink series, I was going to name favorites but the list started including everyone, Amelia and Emerson, longest series I have ever read (I started back in the 70’s), Brisbane and Julia, Charles and Melanie, Lady Emily and Colin and one new one to this list the Andrea Penrose series – Lady Arianna Hadley and her husband, the Earl of Saybrook. And Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes. Glad to see they made the list too.
I am also torn — there are so many!
I really enjoy this series — although the name changes were weird (but I get why she had to do it) — so Charles/Malcolm and Melanie/Suzanne are on my short list.
So are Miles and Henrietta, Lady Julia and Brisbane, Lady Emily and Colin, and Adelia and Rowley from Ariana Franklin’s Mistress of the Art of Death books. So sad that there won’t be any more of them.

OOh my dear… I am not sure whom to pick, as I saw someone already gave a nod to Tasha Alexander’s Lady Emily… 🙂 However, I’d like to say *Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes* by Laurie R. King! I am not certain if they completely qualify for ‘spy couples’ but most of what they do to solve mysteries does involve techniques that I think spies would appreciate!
I hope this counts as an entry!! I’d be overjoyed to receive this book, as I haven’t come across this author before! Ms. Willig you always ignite such joy for those of us who read your blog, as you always give us such wonderful recommendations! And, you are always so generous to give us a bookaway!
