Upcoming Appearances

Hi, all! This information will be appearing in the Have Author Will Travel sidebar shortly, but here’s the somewhat extended version of my itinerary for the next few months– complete with commentary. (I’ve put in bold those that are free and open to the public. The others require a prior conference registration.)

New York, NY:

— May 25, Book Expo America. I’ll be signing with Deanna Raybourn and M.J. Rose at the MWA booth at BEA at 1:15. If you’re attending BEA, stop on by!

June 28, 5:30-730, Marriott Marquis (1535 Broadway). This event is free and open to the public. I’ll be signing at Romance Writers of America’s literacy booksigning. There are usually about three hundred authors present, but, being at the end of the alphabet, I’m fairly easy to find!

November 1, 6:30, talking and signing with Tasha Alexander and Deanna Raybourn! The three of us will be doing a group event at the Mysterious Bookshop, 58 Warren Street.

Phoenix, Arizona:

— June 24-25, Poisoned Pen Conference. An informal gathering for booklovers, the Poisoned Pen conference is a ridiculous amount of fun. I’ll be participating in a History and Mystery tea party on Friday, as well as various events on Saturday, including the late night reading. There is a fee of $50 to attend the conference.

Iselin, New Jersey:

October 22, 4:00. I’ll be participating in a group signing at the NJRW conference at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel, 515 US Highway 1 South. This signing is free and open to the public.

Dallas, Texas:

— November 11-13, Readers ‘n Ritas Conference. Come for the panels, stay for the late night costume competition. This will be my third Readers ‘n Ritas visit, because, really, it is just that much fun. There is a fee of $75 to attend the conference.

Houston, Texas:

November 14, 6:30. Tasha Alexander and I will both be speaking and signing at the fabulous Murder by the Book in Houston (2342 Bissonnet Street).

St. Louis, Missouri:

September. This is the most up in the air so far. I’m going to be in St. Louis from 9/15 to 9/18 for Bouchercon. I’ll either be doing a full reading or participating in some sort of group signing. I’ll let you know when I find out! But there will be something in St. Louis in mid-September.

As other events come up, I’ll keep you posted!

The closest store to me would be the B&N at the Mall of Georgia, but anyone would be fine.

Hooray for Lauren coming down south!

I’m jumping for joy as we are vacationing in NY at the end of June so I can come see you on your June 28th event! Yay!

  7. Lauren on May 16, 2011 at 3:21 pm

Yay! It will be so good to see you again!

  8. Amanda on May 16, 2011 at 3:51 pm

I am apparently going to be camping out in NYC at the Mysterious Bookshop! I hope my brother doesn’t mind having me come to visit, because with Lauren Willig, Deanna Raybourn, and Tasha Alexander ALL at one event — I’m there! 🙂

  9. Dayana on May 16, 2011 at 4:19 pm

Glad Lauren is coing to the south but can there a be an even souther-er visit? Like Miami, Florida maybe? I’m dying over here in the sun!

  10. Elizabeth on May 16, 2011 at 5:14 pm

Are you ever going to pay a visit to Canada? Specifically western Canada? Because we’re really very nice people who’d love to see you!

  11. Lauren on May 16, 2011 at 5:22 pm

Hi, Elizabeth! I’m going to be in Toronto in early June (I’m still working out the details on that one), but somehow I’m guessing that’s about as convenient for you as California is to me….

  12. Erika Jones on May 16, 2011 at 7:59 pm

Are there plans for a Pacific Northwest visit, like to Washington or Oregon?

  13. Bryana on May 16, 2011 at 8:08 pm

I can’t wait to find out the details about your Toronto visit, Lauren!

And I’m going to try my hardest to get away from work in November to come down to NYC because you and Tasha Alexander are two of my favourite authors (I’m going to be bringing a lot of books to be signed with me on this trip…).

@Sheila, you aren’t her only Southern reader! I’m in metro Atlanta. The Mall of Georgia would be nice but far. There are a bunch of B&N, Borders, and even some smaller bookstores here inside the perimeter/metro Atlanta!

  15. Tracie on May 16, 2011 at 10:57 pm

Another Atlanta fan here and I am thrilled that you’ll be coming down this way for a book signing next year, Lauren! A bookstore inside the perimeter would be great since I’m a bit north of the city proper. I know that there are some big Barnes & Noble stores that have author events at Perimeter Mall, in Buckhead, and off Cobb Pkwy. by Cumberland Mall (I actually went there to see Linda Howard at a book signing years ago.)

  16. Suzan on May 16, 2011 at 11:22 pm

Another WA reader here. Pacific Northwest anytime?

  17. Tipsy Reader on May 17, 2011 at 2:07 pm

Sniff sniff. No California? You’ll be missed!

  18. Jane on May 21, 2011 at 6:40 am

Please ask your publisher to take out a map of the United States and look for those big square states that lie in the western third of the nation but are not actually on the west coast.

We love you here too, Lauren! We’re used to driving long distances to get to important events like book signings. Colorado is gorgeous in the summer, but I know that what really counts is sales. We buy lots of books. Come discover the wonders of summer without humidity.

As for me, I’m in Montreal, Quebec, and Toronto is a tick too far away for me… that’s just too bad! 🙁 Maybe one day you’ll visit us in Montreal! 🙂
