Hi, all! Just a reminder that now is your last chance to enter Mini-Contest #1, plotting Miss Gwen’s much-anticipated Gothic novel. I’ve been chortling away over the current entries. Oh, Miss Gwen, who knew?
While we’re talking about the Gothic, I stumbled upon this post, written for the Access Romance All-a-Blog back in 2006: Where, Oh Where Did My Gothics Go?
I wrote that four years ago. In the interim, Gothic seems to have made a comeback. And I’m not just talking about Miss Gwen!
The winner of Mini-Contest #1 will be announced here on the News page tomorrow.

Thanks Lauren. Reading your blog and the comments brought back so many happy memories. Mistress of Mellyn was one of the first “grown up, but not for school” books I ever read, followed by These Old Shades, and I have been hooked on “Intrigue, Espionage, Romance, Swordplay and Comedy” ever since.

Long live the gothic novel! Victoria Holt, Phyllis Whitney, Mary Stewart….so many classic favorites.
Speaking of gothic novels, Lauren,….we love the Pink Carnation series (so keep writing it!), but a gothic novel, Willig-style, would be wonderful!
