NIGHT JASMINE officially “outstanding genre literature”!
Today, the American Library Association came out with their short list for the “outstanding genre literature” of 2010.
Here’s the description, straight from the ALA website: “The Reading List annually recognizes the best books in eight genres: adrenaline (which includes suspense, thriller, and adventure), fantasy, historical fiction, horror, mystery, romance, science fiction, and women’s fiction.”
Guess which book made it onto the romance list?
The Temptation of the Night Jasmine!

Julia Quinn’s What Happens in London was named Best Romance, followed by a four book short list: Night Jasmine (eeeee!!!), Nora Roberts’ Vision in White, Tessa Dare’s Goddess of the Hunt, and Anthony Strong’s Chemistry for Beginners. I did not see this one coming. I’ve been bouncing off the walls with delight (and caffeine).
I also want to send a great big congrats to Michele Moran, who was listed in the Historical Fiction category for her latest book, Cleopatra’s Daughter.
Thank you, ALA!!
