Check out Miss Eliza’s blog, where she makes a very convincing argument for casting Felicity Jones (Catherine Morland in the recent BBC adaptation of Northanger Abbey) as Amy Balcourt. Miss Jones does look rather as I imagined our impulsive heroine:

Since I saw “Northanger Abbey,” I thought that Felicity would be a great choice for Amy.
As for Richard, I really think Henry Cavill or maybe even Jude Law (???) could do well. Richard Armitage couldn’t hurt, either. Throw him into anything and I’ll watch it!

I always pictured james marsden as richard
haha slightly off i know but hes always just what came to mind.
but for miles i think a cross between kellen lutz and eric christian olsen

I always pictured Jude Law as Colin! But I think Greg Wise (Sense & Sensibility) would make a great Richard.
