The Two Minute Regency

Happy December! Just one more month to go until Blood Lily.

In the meantime, to help beguile the time, we have… the Two Minute Regency! I don’t know who wrote it, but it is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while. It’s even more amusing since I’m currently working on a book involving Obligatory Small Children who Must be in Want of a Governess. (Read the spoof and you’ll know what I’m talking about.)

I’ll be posting the first Eloise and Colin chapter of Blood Lily on the website next Monday, so stay tuned….

  1. Too funny…took me longer than 2 minutes, due to cleaning up coffee spewed while laughing my head off…

  2. That was amazing! I always do love the butler.

  3. That was hilarious! That sums up so many novels, and yet I can’t seem to get enough of them. And Lauren, thanks for making Richard & Amy’s butler a former actor. A good butler/actor/pirate is hard to come by!

  4. Lauren, that is priceless. Thanks so much. It made my day.

  8. I was laughing so hard the cats were staring at me in shock. So funny and so true! Count Buttweasel is on my classic name list, heehee.

  11. Just what I needed to ease a rough day at work….hilarious!!!
And, cannot wait to see the first chapter!!!!!!

  12. Oh my gosh, that was hilarious. I’m glad my roommate’s not here or she’d have thought I’d gone nuts. So very true, and yet, as Susan said, I can’t get enough of them! It was especially funny considering I just finished a novel very much along those lines (which is not to say it wasn’t great)!

But that is the nice thing about the Pink - they don’t fit the mold! Not a single brooding Count Weaslebutt or HBF to be found (although Stiles definitely has Butler Magic).

I can’t wait for the Colin/Eloise chapter! And I’m also intrigued as to whose Obligatory Small Children are In Want of a Governess, and exactly who the Governess shall be.
