Smart Bitches Trashy Books, one of my absolute favorite sites on the web (i.e. where I waste most of my time when I’m supposed to be writing) is hosting a contest today in honor of The Temptation of the Night Jasmine’s hitting the New York Times Bestseller list.
The rules? Come up with the most ridiculous flower title you can possibly think of. Add some more ridiculous. Stir. Post. It’s brilliant.
The grand prize in the Smart Bitches Trashy Books contest is a complete set of all five Pink Carnation books. The four runners-up will each receive a signed copy of Night Jasmine.
You can also stop by the contest just for the sheer amusement value. There are already a plethora of hysterically funny titles– and it’s not even noon yet. Does their coffee work faster than mine?
Which ones do you like best? So far, I’m very attached to The Alliteration of the Asian Alocasia amazonica– although The Sheep in the Phlox has a wonderfully George Eliot-esque air to it.

I don’t think I’m quite up to that level of…innuendo.
But I have to say some were laugh-out-loud, just plain funny!

Oh, this is addicting…though not as bad as that Regency Dress up doll they did (thankfully I don’t have that kind of spare time right now :P)

Loved the results so far! I am so incapable of coming up with things like that.
I have to say, I loved “The Temptation of the Bulbous Yam”. Or maybe “The Frayed Instep of the Lady’s Slipper”.

Hi, Amanda!
Originally, winners were supposed to be announced Friday, but their site had to go down for maintenance, so it was postponed. I’m guessing winners will probably be up tomorrow.

Do we know which title won yet? I keep checking the site, but I don’t see where they post the winning title.
