Even though the official release date for the paperback version of Crimson Rose isn’t until next Tuesday, guess what I saw in Borders today? A whole pile of lovely paperback Crimsons, front and center on the New Fiction rack. So if you’ve been holding out for the paperback, you may just be in luck….

I suspect those dates are not so fixed as they would like us to believe. I bought the hard cover of Crimson Rose the day before its release date. Couldn’t wait for the hard cover, or the library to get a copy!

Would love a Night Jasmine sighting near me, lol. I’m dying waiting for the new book! I am now re-reading the series in anticipation….for the 3rd time. These are just fantastic I’m addicted. I’ll check out Borders when I head there tomorrow.

Yes, unless the release date is being treated as a Big Deal (e.g., the last several Harry Potter books), stores often don’t wait for the official release date if the books have already arrived. I haven’t been in a B&N this week, but my copy shipped from B&N.com on Sunday and arrived on Tuesday. They might have shipped it before that, except I bought Burn After Reading in the same order and Sunday was its release date. I think on the 15th when I placed the order, Crimson Rose was showing as being shipped “within 2 or 3 days.”
