Pink Carnation in England!

I know, I know, that makes a very bizarre headline, since the Pink Carnation is technically already in England– when she’s not in France, that is, or Ireland or Portugal, wreaking havoc on Napoleon as only she knows how.

However, while the Pink Carnation may have been resident in London, her chronicles were not. UK readers and friends have complained to me in the past about the difficulty of smuggling the books across the Pond.

Complain no more.

I am thrilled to announce that the Pink Carnation books will at long last be available in the United Kingdom, starting in January of 2009 with the publication of the UK edition of Pink I.

(Insert noises of author madly jumping up and down and cheering herself hoarse here).

This is only a mock-up of the cover, so it may yet be subject to change, but I couldn’t resist sharing it with you.

I love the big pink bow. So much.

In fact, I love everything about this edition so much. As one of my favorite Gilbert & Sullivan characters would say, “It’s just too, too much heppiness!”

As it happens, I was able to purchase my copy (with the US cover) in Waterstones Piccadilly….I had to order the others online though.

I at least just buy the US editions, but I’m glad that your work will be getting a wider audience.

Wow, congrats, though I was surprised to see the news, because I figured it was already there! (I am quite obviously clueless on the whole book market and all, so don’t mind me) 🙂

I’m so happy about this! I hadn’t even considered that I might not be able to find the “flowery friends” books over here, while I’m at grad school.

Woooo! I’m so happy for you!
Personally, I prefer the US covers so I’ll probably still buy those. But it’s good to know they’re here! And I also love there big pink bow.
