3. oooo I can’t wait for it come out! This first chapter was great, left me wanting more. It is most definitely the time for Charlotte to get some well deserved attention and not to mention some good adventure!

6. Great first chapter… I don’t suppose you would consider posting additional excerpts in small doses(kinda like methadone) to keep us going until January? Maybe bits and pieces that have been edited out?

9. Don’t you think the cover picture looks a bit like Georgiana Darcy in the Colin Firth P&P? I’d never really thought about Charlotte in relation to Georgiana, but I can see the similarities– shy, bookish, accomplished, born to great wealth, crotchety old dowagers for relatives, etc.

15. Hi, Colleen! I can’t remember how much of a description I gave of Charlotte in “Black Tulip” (authorial memory loss strikes again). Charlotte is small and fair, with the sort of even-featured face people refer to as “pleasant” and then forget five minutes later. Her hair is a medium blond and her eyes an indeterminate shade somewhere between green and gray. She’s been so used to fading into the background to avoid the tantrums of her temperamental grandmother that it’s as though she’s developed her own sort of protective camouflage.
