Pink V has a Title!

Like some books, some titles are easier than others. Pink V was a Problem Title. We went through a number of flowers and, yes, even wildlife (there was some talk of doves) before settling on the current title.

Henceforth, Pink V shall be… The Temptation of the Night Jasmine.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped out with flower suggestions. Keira, Jessica and Christina, that means you!

  1. I so wanted to come up with a spiffy title for you. As my friends and I were discussing Pink IV and Pink V at lunch, the only title I could come up with off the top of my head was “The Passion of the Purple Petunia”, too many P’s I think! :)

  2. Nicole, I love “The Passion of the Purple Petunia”! It’s so wonderfully over the top– rather like the Perils of Pauline, or whatever that old series was called.

  6. What I’m really looking forward to is the cover. : )

Somehow, having the cover picture always makes it feel more real to me….

  8. Interesting title… Makes one wonder what the underlying connections are — is it mainly that Charlotte like a Jasmine is delicate, trailing, and more “complex” than most flowers in Oleaceae family (5-6 petals rather than 4)? Or is it the fact that Jasmines probably originated in the Himalayas and is popular in Asia? Or maybe it because of the Jasmine’s reputation as an a aphrodisiac… I am looking forward to finding out.
